quotes from famous people who seem larger than life. In a way encouragement quotes remind you that you are not alone. Many others have been where you are in your highs and in your lows. With God’s guidance and words of wisdom from faith quotes, hope quotes, courage quotes, you are sure to find some inspiring thought , or the revel lation that you too have many things to be thankful for.
There are many things that I am thankful for. I am thankful for life and for family. I watched my children grow into strong women and strong men. My husband and I acknowledge that we had help these past 30 years as we raised our young family, God. We could not have done it alone.
God continues to lead us , guide us and keep us. Our hopes and dreams are built on and around his purpose and design for our lives and we build on our past into our future. I’ll all always remember our special times together, our family time. There are many blessings that have graced my family through the years. Many wise people have crossed our paths and have been an inspiration to us when we needed encouragement.
Inspiration and encouragement from friends and loved ones can often be enough to carry on through life when times are hard. But, sometimes you might run across an encouragement poem in a book or magazine, or God will send an encouraging word from a stranger or a talk show. You might, be encouraged as you look at a beautiful picture, or enjoy a gorgeous sunset on a warm summer evening.
Some of my fondest memories are of me staying up late with my sisters on a Friday night. Television stations did not stay on all night back then. So my sisters and I would get permission from my mother to stay up to watch the late night movies, usually hosted by a character named Ghoulardi. We would gather our penney candy, cowboy cookies, and other snackies and settle in to watch TV until the station signed off for the night or we fell asleep.
I don’t remember any particular movie that we would watch I just remember the fun that we had because we were together. There were some TV sitcoms that I remember and love to this day because of the encouraging moral behind the story line. Inspiration was imparted through each story , even though in most cases it was make believe, It was encouraging , if you took the moral teaching to heart.
A couple of my favorites shows were “ The Andy Griffith Show “ and the” Lorretta Young Show” I just thought that they were worth more than a mention . They were fabulous old shows and I enjoyed them very much.
Today I collect a lot of older shows and movies. When I’m feeling down or just a little out of sorts, I’ll pull out these collections of shows, pick one and pop one into my dusty VCR. I also have my books that are filled with inspirational stories, encouragement poems, encouragement quotes, and inspirational sayings. They are really great ways to get motivated , lift your spirits and get on a positive track.

Do you enjoy reminiscing about your past experiences ? perhaps you have many fond memories of days when you were young and carefree. Lets go back and indulge in memories of yesteryear. Remember your first kiss. Think back to the first time you met your spouse. I remember how my sisters and I would stay up late on many Friday nights. WE would all cuddle up on the sofa and watch old movies. TV stations in those days would sign off for the night about 2:00 in the morning. We cherished those times that we had together.
